Ingredients
For the Masala:
500gmutton keemaminced mutton
2medium onionsfinely chopped
1medium tomatofinely chopped
2tbspginger-garlic paste
2green chiliesslit
1tspturmeric powder
1tspred chili powder
1½tspcoriander powder
1tspcumin powder
1½tspgaram masala
Salt to taste
1tspkasuri methidried fenugreek
2tbspfresh corianderchopped
1tbsplemon juice
For Cooking:
3tbspoil or ghee
½cupwateras needed
Instructions
🔸 Step 1: Prepare the Base
Heat oil/ghee in a deep pan.
Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook until raw smell goes away.
🔸 Step 2: Add Spices & Tomatoes
Add turmeric, red chili, coriander, and cumin powders.
Mix well and add chopped tomatoes. Cook until soft and oil separates.
🔸 Step 3: Cook the Keema
Add mutton keema. Mix thoroughly with the masala.
Sauté on medium-high heat until keema changes color and moisture starts to reduce.
Add salt and ½ cup water. Cover and simmer on low for 20–25 minutes.
🔸 Step 4: Finish the Dish
Uncover and cook on high for 5 minutes to thicken the masala.
Sprinkle garam masala, kasuri methi, lemon juice, and chopped coriander.
Mix and turn off the heat. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
🍽 Serving Suggestions
Serve hot with buttery pav, naan, or steamed basmati rice.
Add a fried egg on top for a Keema-Egg combo.
Garnish with raw onion rings and a lemon wedge.
